Behind a discreet door on Brunnsgatan is one of Scandinavia’s most respected multi-brand stores. The range leans avant-garde: Maison Margiela, Ann Demeulemeester, Rick Owens, Yohji Yamamoto, Comme des Garcons, Dries Van Noten, Martine Rose, and more. The palettes tend darker, the cuts more sculptural, the pieces made to reward a second look.

A recent JUS post captures the store’s spirit well: the Margiela Tabi, as striking today as when Martin Margiela first used it in 1988. He set out to create an invisible shoe, one that gave the illusion of a bare foot on a heeled sole. During a 1984 visit to Japan he discovered jikatabi, the split-toe sock-boots that inspired him, and adopted their kohaze closure, the flat metal hooks that conform to the shape of the ankle. He later learned that separating the big toe not only improves balance but is said to stimulate a reflexology pressure point associated with the heart. The Tabi has been a classic in every collection since.

Part store, part atelier, part creative studio. Our Legacy Workshop stocks pre-season pieces, samples, upcycled versions, and heavily discounted deadstock, with prices ranging roughly 40 to 70% off. The staff have real creative freedom here and upcycle in-store, sometimes reworking pieces from other labels like Stussy and Armani. The concept is different from a normal retail experience.

A small, tightly curated vintage store founded in 2017 by Emilian Minas and Marcus Winter. The two travel and dig through Japanese auction sites to bring back rare pieces, which is why the selection punches above the size of the room: Margiela, Dries Van Noten, Rick Owens, Comme des Garcons, Junya Watanabe, Issey Miyake, Prada, and Gucci from the Tom Ford era all show up. Prices are fair for what it is, and it remains one of the more consistently interesting stops in Sodermalm.

A large, more traditional secondhand store just off Sergels Torg. Half the stock is consigned by private sellers, half is sourced by the team, which keeps the range wide and the pricing reasonable. Vintage Levi’s without the usual markup, alongside a steady rotation of other well-known brands. Less curated than the others on this list, but a good hunt.
